A gente escuta isso desde cedo e, às vezes, mesmo com certa idade nas costas ainda podemos ter algum aprendizado dessa célebre indagação!
Quando alguém pergunta isso, ou melhor, quando você ainda é jovem ou criança e alguém questiona sobre qual tipo de herói você quer ser – como se aos 8 anos de vida você já devesse saber o que quer para o fim dos seus dias – é nítido que uma pressão foi estabelecida. E quando não sabemos o que responder, parece que daí sim, um crime acabou de acontecer.
Desde que nascemos parece haver uma missão constituída, um planejamento, antes mesmo de darmos nosso primeiro suspiro aqui fora. Muitos pais pensam e sonham com as profissões de seus filhos, tios e madrinhas apostam em como o afilhado se tornará bem-sucedido e assim vai.
Definitivamente, em qual momento crescemos? Em qual minuto de nossas vidas começamos a ser capazes de decidir para sempre o que queremos e como devemos viver? Precisamos que alguém estabeleça isso para nós? Será que tem idade para isso?
O fato de seguirmos, digamos, um “protocolo” (estudar, estagiar, trabalhar, depois ser promovido, depois se casar, ter filhos etc.) faz com que a vida pareça mesmo um belo jogo de vídeo game, no qual cada fase ganhamos pontos e conquistamos mais medalhas. E ainda por cima, tem a tal da competição de quem vai conseguir chegar lá primeiro.
Mas e quando não queremos escolher logo de cara o que nos definirá por pelo menos alguns belos anos de nossas vidas? Quando simplesmente não queremos os famosos rótulos? Ou quando em plena idade do sossego e aposentadoria, alguns, resolvem jogar tudo para o alto e começam algo novo? Quando crianças livres e diretas dizem que querem ser astronautas e sabemos que de alguma forma elas estão vendo o futuro?
Dá para saber o que ser quando crescer mesmo depois de tantos erros, reviravoltas e aprendizados? Dá tempo de mudar o curso do voo de um avião para outro aeroporto mesmo com um dos motores pifados?
Acredito que se tivermos com todas as informações pertinentes a respeito da tal jornada é possível sim. Eu, que já tenho 40 anos de pura juventude, vejo que o ditado “nunca é tarde” é cada vez mais significativo.
Quanta coisa boa dá para se fazer nessa vida e ainda por cima aprender, conhecer o novo e se arriscar. Alguns episódios de dor vão ocorrer, como eu mesma disse aqui no meu primeiro texto, sobre como a dor nos faz seguir em frente. Mas o crescimento é contínuo, seja você a pessoa que seguiu o que era planejado e todos os protocolos de uma vida normal ou aquela que viveu do testar e aprender e quebrou a cara algumas vezes ou talvez muitas vezes.
A gente cresce a todo minuto, em todo o tempo, em todas as conversas, em todos os sonhos e em todas as desavenças. Cada vez que ouvimos pacientemente alguém contar sua história de vida, observando seu semblante mudar a cada entonação, em cada música que cantamos com o coração mole e cheio de lembranças, cada vez que nos vemos crianças em outras pessoas, estamos crescendo, estamos carimbando nossa vida e mudando a rota algumas vezes, porque não?
Um dia pelo outro, a pergunta da nossa infância ainda ecoa em nossas mentes. Para alguns de forma assustadora, pois se tornou uma velha amiga, a “frustração” e para outros uma ótima companheira, uma verdadeira bussola para a próxima viagem.
Depende de como você vê! Eu só sei que a melhor coisa do mundo é poder contar que errou e aprendeu. Que tentou e que não foi bem aquilo que esperava. Que cresceu, mas quer ser criança novamente, pelo menos 1 vez na semana. Que tentou de novo e conseguiu. Que agora está pronto para mais um salto, aquele salto de fé que a gente não enxerga bem o que está embaixo, só olha para a frente e vai.
